Colleen Morris (she/her)
I like to think of myself as down to earth; kind, calm, straightforward and practical Clinical Psychologist. Through both lived and professional experience, I recognises that being neurodivergent has strengths and challenges. I am passionate about supporting clients to understand and embrace their neurotype, while helping cultivate an environment that supports their needs.
Qualifications: BA (Hons.), MPsych (Clin.)
Background:
I have worked in private practice for 13 years (with some time off to enjoy maternity leave). I have worked with people of all ages, and with a wide range of mental health concerns; however, I now work solely with adults. After my maternity leave, I decided that I wanted to work closer to home and work within the beautiful Hills Community, so I opened Verge Psychology in 2018.
Aside from working in private practice, I have previously worked in a hospital on a Parent Infant Program (formerly known as the Mother Baby Psychiatric Ward) and for a not-for-profit organisation to support women and children who had experienced family violence.
I have run parenting programs such as “Tuning in to Kids” and the “Circle of Security” and really value supporting parents on their parenting journey.
In my personal time I enjoy spending time with the people I love, pottering in my garden and relaxing at home.
